Optometrists Association of Uganda Celebrates World Sight Day

World Sight Day Celebrations are scheduled for 14th October, 2021.

The Optometrists’ Association of Uganda (OAU) with partners, has meticulously organized to continue its commitment to promote good eye health in Uganda.

The activities will include online eye health campaigns and a vision screen exercise co-organized by Uganda Ophthalmology Society, Makerere University, Ministry of Health Uganda, Light for the World, Ajanta Pharma, Aggarwal Hospital, Makerere University Optometry Students’ Association, among other partners.

All the materials have been prepared and published.

The eye screening exercise is scheduled to take place at Mulago Nurses Hostel on 14th Oct, 2021.

The OAU calls on the public to take the opportunity to have their eyes examined for any subtle defects/disorders that could claim their sight.

    Hello,there are many people,yound and old who can’t access to move to the next given venues for screening. Can’t even afford the payment for the treatment for their eyes. If possible the routine should take part in district one by one.
